Dr. Robert Hines, LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Robert L. Hines, Sr. is a proud St. Louis native and a product of the Gifted Program of the St. Louis Public School System.   He was featured in the New York Times at the age of 16 for winning a Business Plan Competition for an Educational Software Company based on video games he created in the Minority Youth Entrepreneurship Program at the John B. Olin School of Business at Washington University.  After graduating Magna Cum Laude (3.98+ G.P.A.) from The Benedict College Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and completing a 4-year Computer Science Internship at Purina, Pastor Robert has excelled in a 30+ year Information Technology career.  He has traveled the U.S. and Canada as an Application Developer, Database Administrator, Speaker, Corporate Technical Trainer, Course Developer, and Co-author of 4 books on Data Warehousing Technology.  Pastor Robert has also led international teams of resources in India for Fortune 500, Fortune 10 clients including Bank of America. He has been tremendously blessed to provide expert services as an independent contractor on government projects such as the U.S. Department of Defense at Scott Air Force Base and with major consulting firms like Ernst & Young, Deloitte, and IBM in the private sector since 2009.

Besides the professional achievements, God has graced this Man of God with over 30 years of domestic and international ministry experience which includes speaking and praying for the sick in Ghana, West Africa.  Pastor Robert was ordained as an elder in SC in August of 2012 and ordained to Pastoral Ministry in 2017.  This experience includes Pastoral Ministry, College Campus Ministry, Community Outreach, Prison Ministry, Youth Ministry, Ministry through rap music, Couples Ministry, Ministry to Singles, and much more.  Pastor Robert has graduated at the top of 8 different ministry schools and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Theology Degree for decades of impactful service to the Kingdom of God , primarily in the Southeast Region.  He is regarded as a profound teacher of the Word of God that operates in the gifts of the spirit listed in  1 Corinthians 12:7-11.  Pastor Robert has an intense passion for helping people to achieve God's plan for their lives and ministry.  God has given him distinct prophetic insight into times and seasons that provides a unique God-given perspective regarding the issues of the day.   He currently serves as the Lead Pastor of Excel Church here in St. Louis, MO.  His wife, Kisha, and his children Robert Jr, Kayla, and Alanna are his continual support, inspiration, and joy.
